Recipe Ingredients:
1.69 One Mile Ranch boneless crossrib roast
1 tbsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp oregano
1 tbsp cumin
1 tbsp thyme
½ tsp salt
¼ cup lemon juice
4 garlic cloves cut finely
1 sweet onion, diced
3 cups beef broth
Gyro toppings:
Lettuce, finely sliced
Cherry tomatoes
Red onion, finely sliced
Tzatziki sauce
Dill
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 325°F
- Combine paprika, oregano, cumin, thyme, and salt in a small bowl. Mix well.
- Pat down roast with a paper towel, then rub spice mixture generously all over the roast on every side.
- In a Dutch oven-style cooking dish, place the roast and add the diced onion and garlic around the roast.
- Pour the beef broth and lemon juice around the roast as well and cover with the lid.
- Cook for 4 hours.
- Once the roast is cooked, remove the meat from the pot and shred the meat. Return the shredded meat to the pot and toss in the sauce.
To serve:
In a pita wrap, add the beef, sliced red onion, tomatoes, finely sliced lettuce, tzatziki, and dill.
