Homemade Burger Patties

Homemade Burger Patties

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of One Mile Ranch Ground Beef
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • salt and pepper

Makes 8 burger patties. (Recipe is made for easy doubling because these are awesome for a big group.)

Directions:

  1. Thaw ground beef and put in a large mixing bowl
  2. Add breadcrumbs, eggs, liquid smoke, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Use your hands to combine until the mixture is thoroughly smooth.
  4. Next, press the meat down evenly in the bowl. Use a knife to cut and divide the hamburger patty mixture into 8 equal sections.
  5. Set out a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to hold the patties. One at a time, press firmly into patties of your desired thickness. You typically want hamburger patties to be slightly larger than the buns they’ll be served on since they’ll shrink a bit in the cooking process.
  6. Place the formed patties on the baking sheet. With thick patties, press a dent in the center of each patty so they don't puff up while cooking.
  7. Grill on the BBQ or in a cast iron pan!

ENJOY!
